The war in Ukraine is in full swing, hundreds of thousands of innocent people are on the line of conflict, the damage of their properties, families and homes is enormous.
In light of the state of war between Russia and Ukraine, we anticipate and prepare for a large increase of refugees and those with the right of return. According to estimates, about 150,000 immigrants from Ukraine will immigrate to the State of Israel in the coming months. (We are already preparing ourselves for any request that will come to us for assistance and support)
How does the war between Ukraine and Russia affect all innocents?
Tens of thousands of cancer patients cannot receive their treatments.
Pharmacies are closed – there are no medicines.
People lose their loved ones.
Many are sleeping in hiding places and cold basements because Russia bombed their house.
Property of people who abandoned their homes was looted by strangers.
The economy is crashing.
The elderly are abandoned.
Many people are traumatized by the harsh sights for the rest of their lives.
Who will compensate them for the war damages?
Who will “delete” the period when sick people did not take their medication and as a result their medical and/or mental condition deteriorated?
People who went through the worst of all, lost their loved ones, their freedom and the confidence that they and their family members are safe in their country.
We must not remain indifferent to the war imposed on the Ukrainians. Lema’an Yotzei Hever Ha’amim (The Association for Veterans of the Commonwealth of Nations) is opening a campaign to collect donations for the victims of the war and their families!
The funds collected in this campaign (the fund for the victims of the war and their families) will be used to buy food, medicine, medical treatments, help with absorption in Israel and any support, assistance and help that will be required due to the war.
Lema’an Yotzei Hever Ha’amim (The Association for Veterans of the Commonwealth of Nations) is only a conduit between the donors and all those who need assistance. Any help and assistance is due to them.
